Ingredients

  • 2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 2/3 c. margarine
  • 1 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 sq. semi-sweetened chocolate
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 3 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 gal. ice cream (peppermint, my favorite, butter pecan, strawberry or your favorite)

    Cover bottom of ungreased 9 x 15-inch pan with 1 1/2 cups crumbs.

    Melt margarine and chocolate together (microwave).

    With electric mixer beat egg yolks; add powdered sugar, chocolate mixture and vanilla.

    Beat egg whites and fold into chocolate mixture; add nuts.

    Spread over crumbs, then spread softened ice cream.

    Freeze.
