  • 2 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 4 to 5 qt. popped corn

Directions

    Boil the first 5 ingredients for 5 minutes.

    Add the soda; stir.

    It will foam.

    Add quickly to the popped corn.

    Stir.

    Put on cookie sheets.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour; stir every 15 minutes. Take out, cool and break apart.
