• 1 teaspoon amaretto flavoring or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 medium firm tart apples, peeled thinly sliced
• 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
• 1/4 cup walnuts or 1/4 cup pecans, finely chopped
• 1/4 cup butter, melted
