  • 2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c. light or dark syrup
  • 1 stick oleomargarine
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 5 qt. freshly popped corn
  • 1 c. peanuts

Directions

    Boil brown sugar, syrup, oleo and cream of tartar together for 5 minutes and quickly stir in baking soda.

    Mix peanuts and popcorn.

    Pour syrup mixture over them.

    Mix thoroughly and spread on 2 cookie sheets.

    Put in 200° oven for 40 minutes.

    Stir every 10 minutes.

    Cool and eat.
