Cranberry Bread

- 1 c. raw cranberries
- 1 orange, juice and rind
- 1 Tbsp. Wesson oil
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together.

2Slice berries in 3 or 4 slices. Grate rind of orange to use in bread and squeeze out juice.

3Put juice in a cup with the oil and add enough boiling water to make 3/4 cup of liquid.

4Combine with dry ingredients and beaten egg. Add cranberries and nuts, put in greased and floured loaf pan and bake for about 1 hour in 325° oven.

5When cool, put in refrigerator wrapped in foil until ready to serve.
