Cranberry Casserole

  • 1 pkg. raw cranberries (fresh)
  • 2 c. diced, unpeeled red apples (tart, like Jonathan)
  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 stick melted margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 1/2 c. Rice Krispies

Directions

    Mix cranberries, apples and sugar.

    Melt margarine.

    Add Rice Krispies, brown sugar and flour.

    Fold into cranberry mixture. Sprinkle with nuts over the top.

    Bake in a large buttered casserole (9 x 13-inch), uncovered, for 45 minutes or until thickened and bubbly, at 350°.

    Serves 8 to 10 people.
