Crawfish Bread

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 block margarine
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp. chopped garlic
  • 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 6 oz. Provolone cheese
  • 6 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 6 oz. mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 to 1 lb. crawfish tails
  • seasoned salt to taste

Directions

    Slice French bread in half.

    In pan, melt margarine, add onion, bell pepper, garlic, saute a few minutes, then add crawfish, parsley and seasoned salt.

    Saute for about 10 minutes. Add cheese, stir until cheese is melted.

    Spread on French bread. Bake in 400° oven for about 15 minutes.

    Cut into pieces and enjoy.

    Shrimp may be substituted for crawfish.
