Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 large onions, chopped
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 or 2 cloves garlic
  • parsley flakes
  • 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 large jar Cheez Whiz (jalapeno or regular)
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 to 3 lb. crawfish tails, cleaned and deveined

Directions

    In large skillet, saute onions, bell peppers, garlic and celery until tender in about 1/2 cup of butter flavored Crisco. Add about 1/4 cup flour to thicken.

    Add parsley flakes, tomatoes, tomato sauce and crawfish.

    Lower heat and cook, covered, for 30 minutes to an hour.

    When ready to serve, stir in Cheez Whiz. Serve over rice.
