- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped
- 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine the margarine, brown sugar, flour and nuts with a pastry blender.

2Remove one cupful to use for topping.

3Press remainder into buttered 8 x 8 pan.

4Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.

5To make filling, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla until smooth.

6Turn onto baked crust.

7Top with crumb topping.

8Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

9Cool thoroughly.
