Cream Cheese Bars

- 1 box (about 18 Oz.) Butter Recipe Golden Cake Mix
- 3/4 cups Butter, Melted
- 1-1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
- 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar
- 16 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

2To make the base, in a bow, stir together the cake mix, melted butter, and 3/4 cup pecans; blend well. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. (I use a warm spoon so the mix doesn't stick.)

3Prepare the topping by stirring together in a bow the brown sugar and cream cheese. Mix well. Spread topping evenly over the base in the pan. Sprinkle with the remaining 3/4 cup pecans.

4Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until edges are browned and the cheese topping is set. Cool completely before cutting. Store in the refrigerator.
