- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/4 c. soft butter or margarine
- 2 lb. powdered sugar
- few drops food coloring (red, green or yellow)
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint, wintergreen or lemon extract
Directions

1Combine cream cheese and butter in heavy bottomed saucepan. Stir over low heat until cheese is soft, butter is melted, and the mix is blended.

2Add the powdered sugar and stir until well combined.

3Add your choice of food coloring and flavoring; 2 or 3 different choices of color can be used by dividing the mix.

4Roll into 1-inch balls.

5Place on a sheet of waxed paper.

6Press with fork.

7Let stand, uncovered, 4 hours, or overnight, until mints dry and firm.

8Inside will be creamy.
