- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 c. evaporated skim milk
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. dark rum
Directions

1Combine brown sugar and milk in heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat until mixture is hot.

2Gradually stir about 1/4 of the hot mixture into the beaten egg.

3Add remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly.

4Cook until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.

5Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and dark rum. Cover and chill.

6When ready to serve, stir with a wire whisk and spoon over fruit.

7Serves 4.
