  • 6 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 pt. heavy cream

    In a mixing bowl, beat eggs at high speed for 5 minutes or until pale yellow. Gradually beat in sugar and vanilla, mixing until sugar is dissolved. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to batter alternately with cream. Pour into greased 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes or until done. Cool in pan 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool. Yields 12 to 16 servings.
