Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 to 4 eggs (depends on size of eggs)
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Add shortening to water and bring to boil.

2Add flour all at once and stir vigorously until ball forms in center of pan.

3Cool slightly.

4Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating after adding each egg.

5Mixture should be very stiff.

6Shape on oiled cookie sheet by dropping from spoon or using pastry bag and tube.

7Bake at 450° for 15 minutes.

8Reduce temperature to moderate 350° and continue baking for 30 minutes or until done.

9(Test one.)

10Cool. Fill with whipped cream, custard pudding.

11Makes 2 dozen small puffs.
