- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. flour
- 4 eggs, unbeaten
Directions

1Bring water, shortening and salt to a boil.

2Stir in flour and cook until dough forms a smooth ball and leaves sides of saucepan clean.

3Then remove from heat and cool slightly.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

5Drop by spoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

6Reduce heat to 400° and bake 25 minutes more.

7Cool.

8Slit and fill with sweetened whipped cream or pudding filling.

9Yield:
