- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. flour, sifted
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Pour boiling water over butter in pan.

2Heat until butter melts.

3Add flour all at once.

4Stir with wooden spoon until mixture leaves sides of pan and forms a ball.

5Remove from heat. Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating to a smooth paste after each one.

6Beat until smooth and velvety.

7Drop by tablespoons onto greased baking sheets.

8Bake at 450° for 15 minutes.
-
9Reduce heat to 300° and bake 30 to 40 minutes longer.

10When cooked, slice off tops and fill with filling, whipped cream, ice cream, hot creamed chicken or any creamed fish and replace tops.

11Makes 7 to 8.
