- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Combine Crisco and boiling water; stir over low heat until Crisco is melted.

2Add flour and salt all at once; beat until ingredients are completely smooth.

3Remove from heat.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating vigorously after each.

5Drop from tablespoon onto lightly greased baking sheet, 2 inches between each puff.

6Bake in a 450° oven for 10 minutes.

7Lower temperature to 350° and bake 20 minutes longer.

8Puffs should be golden brown and crisp.

9When cold, cut off tops with a sharp knife.

10Fill with flavored whipped cream, ice cream or a filling made from a pudding mix.

11Replace tops and serve.
