Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Add shortening to water and bring to a boil. Add flour all at once and stir until ball forms in center of pan.

    Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg.

    Shape on oiled cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes in hot oven at 450°.

    Reduce temperature to moderate 350° and bake for 30 minutes or until done. Fill with cream filling, ice cream or whipped cream.
