- 1/2 c. Imperial or shortening
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. flour
- 4 eggs
Directions

1Put shortening and water in 2-quart pan. Bring to a boil.

2Add flour, then cook until thick. Stir constantly. When mixture gathers into a mass, remove from heat.

3Let cool for 6 to 8 minutes.

4Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.

5Place in mounds on a greased cookie sheet 1 1/2-inches apart.

6Bake 40 minutes at 400°.

7Yields 12 large puffs.
