  • 1 cabbage Portuguese
  • 1/2 cowpea
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 6 3/4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 Corn Bread shredded

    Rinse cabbage and separate leaves.

    Cook in boiling, salted water for 10 minutes or until tender, but not falling apart.

    Drain well in a colander.

    Tip: Use kitchen shears to cut the larger pieces.

    Heat olive oil in a pan and saute minced garlic cloves for 1-2 minutes.

    Add cabbage to pan and saute.

    Add breadcrumbs and mix well.

    Fold in chickpeas and stir carefully.
