- 1 cabbage Portuguese
- 1/2 cowpea
- 2 cloves garlic
- 6 3/4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 Corn Bread shredded
Directions

1Rinse cabbage and separate leaves.

2Cook in boiling, salted water for 10 minutes or until tender, but not falling apart.

3Drain well in a colander.

4Tip: Use kitchen shears to cut the larger pieces.

5Heat olive oil in a pan and saute minced garlic cloves for 1-2 minutes.

6Add cabbage to pan and saute.

7Add breadcrumbs and mix well.

8Fold in chickpeas and stir carefully.
