Creamed Cabbage Bake

  • Med. cabbage, chopped & cooked
  • 1/2 C finely chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 C milk
  • grated cheese ( optional)

Directions

    Chop cabbage coarsly. Boil in salted water, along with onion til tender crisp. Drain. Put in 1 1/2 qt. casserole.

    Melt butter in med. saucepan. Stir in flour, salt & pepper. Add milk. Cook, stirring until sauce boils. Pour over cabbage & onion.
