- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. half and half
- 1/2 c. mushroom stock
- 2 Tbsp. sherry
Directions

1Wash, stem and slice mushrooms.

2Slice stems and boil in 3/4 cup water for 8 to 10 minutes for mushroom stock.

3Saute the sliced mushroom caps in 3 tablespoons butter or margarine.

4Melt remaining butter or margarine; blend in flour and salt and slowly stir in the milk, half and half and mushroom stock.

5Boil until thick, stirring constantly.

6Add sauteed mushrooms and sherry.
