Creamed Spinach

  • 1 pkg. frozen spinach
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. onion, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. half and half
  • 3 strips bacon (crisp)

    Cook chopped spinach as package directs for 45 minutes. Drain.

    Set aside.

    Saute onion in butter until tender.

    Add flour and stir.

    Add to cooked spinach.

    Stir in crisp crumbled bacon. Season with dashes of nutmeg.

    Pour into buttered casserole.

    Bake in oven at 350° until heated through and bubbly.
