- 6 lb. fish
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 stalk celery with tops
- 3 c. milk
- 3 large Irish potatoes
- 2 c. cream
- 4 onions
- salt to taste
Directions

1Select whiting, flounder or blackfish.

2Wash and place in cold water to cover.

3Chop celery and onions fine.

4Add these, bay leaf and salt to cut up fish.

5Bring to a boil; simmer 20 minutes. When cool, bone and skin fish.

6Strain broth.

7To broth, add diced potatoes.

8Boil until potatoes are done.

9Add fish, cream and milk.
-
10Simmer 5 minutes; serve with crackers.
