- 6 large ripe tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 34 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 14 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 12 cups milk
- 34 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 teaspoons sugar
- 34 teaspoon thick steak sauce
- 1 12 teaspoons prepared mustard
Directions

1Cut off top and bottom of the tomatoes then half tomatoes crosswise.

2Combine 1 Tbsp flour, 3/4 tsp salt, and pepper; sprinkle over tomato halves.

3Melt the butter in a skillet, saute tomatoes until barely tender.

4Place 10 halves on a heated platter.

5Mash the two halves left in the skillet and remove the skins.

6Stir in the 2 Tbsps of flour, then the milk and the rest of the ingredients.

7Cook slowly until creamy and pour over the tomatoes.
