  • 5 lb. white potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • salt
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

    Cook potatoes until tender; drain.

    Mash potatoes until smooth.

    Add cream cheese, 4 tablespoons of butter, garlic salt, pepper and salt.

    Mix until smooth.

    Gradually add milk, mixing until smooth.

    Turn potato mixture into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

    Dot the top with 2 tablespoons of butter.

    Sprinkle with paprika.

    Bake at 325° for 30 minutes, then at 375° for 30 minutes longer.
