- 6 c. water
- 1 lb. dried large lima beans
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. diced green pepper
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- salt and pepper
- 2 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
Directions

1Bring water to boil and add beans.

2Boil 2 minutes.

3Cover and let stand 1 hour.

4Return to heat and simmer, covered, until tender, a fork pierces a single bean easily; drain.

5Saute onion and green pepper in a little oil.

6Stir in flour, seasonings and sugar.

7Add tomatoes and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

8Stir in cooked beans; heat through.

9Makes 8 servings.
