- 1/2 c. Wesson oil
- 2 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Cream oil and sugar in mixer.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.

3Add vanilla and buttermilk alternately with the flour, salt and cocoa that have been sifted together.

4Last add boiling water mixed with soda.

5Put in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

6Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour in a 300° oven.

7Batter will be thin.
