Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon, crumbled
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can peeled tomatoes, chopped slightly (drain juices and save to use as needed)
  • 2 cans cut green beans (drain juices and save to use as needed)

Directions

    Cook bacon until crisp.

    Remove from skillet.

    Add onion and green pepper to all drippings; cook until tender.

    Blend in flour, sugar, salt and pepper.

    Add tomatoes; cook until thickened.

    Add beans.

    Top with bacon.

    Heat at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
