Ingredients
- 2 (1/4 ounce) packages fast-rising active dry yeast
- 12 cup warm water
- 34 cup sugar
- 34 cup shortening (I use butter flavored Crisco)
- 2 cups milk
- 4 eggs
- 3 teaspoons salt
- 10 -12 cups flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water, let proof for about ten minutes until foamy.

2Cream sugar and shortening.

3Add slightly beaten eggs.

4Add yeast mixture, salt and milk.

5Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.

6Knead in as much flour as needed until no longer sticky.

7Cover with a clean dish towel and let rise until double, about an hour.

8Divide into about 8 pieces.

9Roll out one at a time into a large circle.

10Cut into wedge shaped pieces.

11Roll each piece, starting at the wide end.

12Place on an ungreased cookie sheets.

13Brush with melted butter.

14Cover with towels.

15Let rise until double, about an hour.

16Bake at 375 for 15 minutes, till golden brown.
