  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 4 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. white corn syrup

    Sift corn meal.

    Add salt and soda; mix.

    Add oil; stir.

    Add buttermilk and syrup; stir well.

    Fill thoroughly greased iron corn stick pans; bake at 400° for 1/2 hour.
