  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 2/3 cup cold butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in syrup. Add pecans. Shape into a 12-in. roll; wrap in plastic. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm.
