  • 25 medium cucumbers, sliced in 1/2-inch chunks
  • 6 c. vinegar
  • 3 c. water
  • 9 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 6 Tbsp. mixed pickle spice

Directions

    Combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, celery and pickle spice. Heat until sugar melts.

    Put two slices of onions in each jar. Fill with cucumber chunks.

    Pour syrup over to fill jar.

    Seal jar and process to a rolling boil.

    This makes very crisp good pickles.
