- 3/4 c. salt
- pinch of alum
- sprigs of dill (in between cucumbers)
- 6 garlic cloves
Directions

1Wash cucumbers and dry.

2Layer dill between cucumbers in 4-gallon crock. Boil the water and salt to a rolling boil.

3Cool slightly, then pour over cucumbers; weigh down with a plate and jug of water.

4Cover cucumbers with a towel and clear the towel when they start to ferment.
