- 1 lb. red beans, soaked
- 1 onion, sliced thin
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. smoked sausage (mild, hot or Cajun)
- 3 Tbsp. honey, brown sugar or dark Karo
Directions

1Slice sausage in thin diagonal pieces.

2Place all ingredients in crock-pot.

3Cover with water (about 1/2 inch above beans). Cook on high 1 hour.

4Turn heat to low and simmer for 4 to 6 hours or until beans are tender.

5Serve over hot, fluffy rice.
