Crock-Pot Squirrel

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 squirrels, cut up
  • 1 can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 soup can full water
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • onion, diced (if you want)
  • diced celery (also good)

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in crock-pot.

    Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until squirrel is tender.

    Strain the juices of the crock-pot and pour into pan.

    Thicken for gravy to pour over mashed potatoes by adding about 1 tablespoon cornstarch in 1/2 cup water to broth and cook until thick.

    Stir constantly.
