Crock-Pot Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 12 cup butter, melted
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 12 lbs loaf dry white bread, broken into small pieces
  • 34 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 34 teaspoon thyme
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 well beaten eggs

Directions

    Mix butter, onion, celery, spices, broth and eggs.

    Add bread which has been broken into small pieces.

    Put in lightly greased crock pot.

    Cook on high 45 minutes, then on low about 6 to 7 hours.

    Stir after the first 45 minutes and again 2 or 3 times during cooking.

    Do not pack the stuffing when stirring, stir lightly.
