- 1 pound red kidney beans red
- 1 1/2 cup rice
- 16 ounces tomatoes stewed
- 1 each ham hock
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 each onions chopped
- 2 each garlic cloves or 1/4 ts garlic powder
- 1 x white pepper to taste
- 1 x salt to taste
Directions

1Put the everything in the crockpot at the same time, except for the rice.

2Turn on high for 4 hours, then on low for 6 hours.

3During the last 1 1/2 hours, put in the rice.

4The final ingredient is about 1/2 cup of white wine.

5You can add this whenever.

6It is optional, of course.

7If you like it spicy add 18 teaspoon red pepper.
