- 6 lb. cucumbers, sliced
- 1 1/2 c. onion, sliced
- 2 large cloves garlic
- 1/3 c. uniodized salt
- 2 trays ice cubes
- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 3 c. white vinegar
Directions

1Wash and slice unpeeled cukes into 1/4-inch slices.

2Discard ends.

3Add onion and salt and mix.

4Put garlic cloves over top. Cover with ice cubes and let stand 3 hours or overnight.

5Drain and remove garlic cloves.

6Heat sugar, turmeric, celery seed, mustard seed and white vinegar to boiling.

7Add drained cukes and onion slices and boil 5 minutes.

8Start to count processing time as soon as water in canner returns to boil.
