  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
  • 1 c. milk (sour)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. cocoa (optional)

Directions

  1. 1
    Mix sugar, shortening (Spry), cinnamon, flour and nuts. Take out 1/2 cup for topping. Mix the remaining ingredients with the rest of mix. Put in greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for about 30 to 45 minutes. Serves 10.
