  • 1 c vegetable shortening
  • dash salt
  • 2 c sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla and 1 t almond extracts, or lemon, or 2 t vanilla
  • 2 c all-purpose flour

Directions

    Put all ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat at medium speed for 12 minutes.

    Pour into a greased and floured large tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
