Ingredients
- 4 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 qt. milk (get hot, then cool to lukewarm)
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water, 1/2 cup.

2Add sugar and shortening to milk.

3Then add 5 cups flour to make batter (it will be like pancake batter).

4Set in warm place to rise until doubled. After doubled in size, add 1 teaspoon soda, 2 1/2 teaspoons salt and 2 teaspoons baking powder.

5Add enough flour to make dough (2 1/2 cups).

6Roll out on floured board and cut in 1-inch thick biscuits.

7Place on greased cookie sheet and freeze.

8After frozen, put in Ziploc bags.

9Take out and thaw; let rise when needed.

10Cook at 350°.
