- 125 grams butter
- 90 grams Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne (red) pepper
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. crushed cornflakes
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1Cream butter in bowl until soft.

2Add grated cheese, salt, cayenne, sifted flour and cornflakes.

3Combine beaten egg and milk (reserve 2 teaspoons for glazing).

4Add remaining milk to cornflake mixture and mix thoroughly.

5Roll teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls.

6Put on a greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Press top lightly with a fork.

7Brush top with egg and milk mixture.

8Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.
