  • 3/4 c. wheat germ
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. chopped chives
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/4 c. wheat germ
  • 1 Tbsp. milk

    Combine 3/4 cup wheat germ, flour, chives and salt.

    Cut in butter until coarse like meal.

    Add egg and 1 tablespoon milk; mix well.

    Pinch off dough and shape into 3 1/2-inch long sticks. Brush with 1 tablespoon milk and roll in 1/4 cup wheat germ.

    Bake at 425° on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
