  • 2/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. white Karo syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 heaping Tbsp. cornmeal
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine (size of an egg), melted
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell (not deep dish)
