  • 1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon extract
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cream the butter well.

    Add sugar; mix, then add eggs, then flavoring.

    Combine flour and salt; do not overbeat.

    Pour into a greased tube pan.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 25 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.

    Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out of pan.
