- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 c. four
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. pecans, finely chopped
- 1/3 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 tsp. ice water
Directions

1Cream the butter until fluffy.

2Sift in the flour and sugar. Stir in the vanilla and ice water and last of all, the chopped pecans.

3Make 2 rolls; wrap in buttered foil and freeze for 2 hours.

4Slice off thin slices of dough.

5Shape in an oval roll, like a cocoon and bake in a slow oven at 250° until lightly browned.

6After they cool, roll in confectioners sugar and store in airtight container.
