Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 gal. cukes, peeled
  • 2 c. lime
  • 1 1/2 qt. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. oil of cloves
  • 8 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. oil of cinnamon
  • green food coloring

Directions

    Cut peeled cucumbers into slices.

    Cut out centers.
  3. 3
    Throw away centers.

    Cover with water to which 2 cups lime has been added.

    Soak 24 hours.

    Drain, cover with clear water and let stand 3 hours.

    Drain.

    Cover with uncooked solution of vinegar, salt, oil of cloves, oil of cinnamon and sugar.

    Let stand overnight.
