- 7 lb. cucumbers, sliced lengthwise
- 2 gal. water
- 2 c. lime
- 2 qt. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 box cloves
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 box cinnamon sticks
- 5 lb. sugar
Directions

1Soak cucumbers in lime water for 24 hours, then soak in clear water for 3 hours.

2Mix vinegar and sugar; tie spices and salt in cheesecloth and put in vinegar and sugar mixture.

3Bring to a boil.

4Put cucumbers in mixture and let soak overnight.

5Boil 30 minutes.

6Add raisins and boil 5 more minutes.

7Pack in jars and seal.

8Chill before serving.
