- 1 c. Crisco
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 box currants
- 1 egg
- milk
Directions

1Combine flour, sugar, Crisco, baking powder and currants.

3Beat egg in a cup and fill with milk to measure 1 cup.

6Flatten to about 1/2-inch and cut with a doughnut cutter or glass.

7Place on prepared cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.

8Check after 12 minutes.

9I like them softer rather than too baked as they tend to firm up after taking out of the oven.
